Royal Sundaram General Insurance

Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance Company is a joint venture between Chennai based Sundaram Finance and Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Group of UK. Sundaram Finance holds 74% and RSA holds the remaining 26% in the company.

Sundaram Finance is an established name in India with over 500 offices and extending finances for commercial vehicles, cars and construction equipment. RSA is an international major in the insurance sector with business interests in more than 130 countries. The experience of RSA and the distribution and market knowledge of Sundaram Finance in the India market will help the joint venture to perform well.

The company started its operations in the year 2005.
