In a new development TATA AIG General Insurance has appointed Neelesh Garg as its new Managing Director and CEO.
Garg, a veteran of the insurance and banking sector, will take over the reins of the company after present incumbent K.K. Mishra hangs his boots this month after a 15 year stint with TATA AIG.
Expressing joy over his appointment, Garg said, “It is a privilege to associate myself with an iconic brand like Tata AIG General Insurance.”
Underlying his vision for the company, Garg added “It will be my endeavour to sustain the efforts of my predecessors and ensure an even brighter future for the company with knowledge, customer-centricity and technology as the core mantra.”
Prior to joining TATA AIG General Insurance Garg was an Executive Director at ICICI Lombard where he spent 12 years. During his stint there, he was the driving force behind ICICI Lombard’s global expansion.
Garg, an alumnus of IIM-B and Delhi’s prestigious Sri Ram College of Commerce, began his career in 1995 with ICICI Ltd. in Project Appraisals and also had a stint with the Citi Group where he was looking after their Treasury and Mortgage division.
