Star Health insurance has launched a policy, which will now cover your pre-existing diseases just 11 months after buying the policy.

This will come as an exciting news to most insurance buyers. It is a unique cover which is not offered by any other insurance company. Most of the other insurers cover pre-existing diseases only after 4 continuous years of policy renewal.

Under the new policy by Star Health, policyholders will get paid 50% towards these pre-existing illnesses. This policy can be availed by any individual aged between 18 to 65 years. HIV positive persons can also take this policy provided their CD 4 count is not less than 350.

Another health insurance policy launched today by the same insurer is a unique Star Wedding Gift specially designed for newly weds. This policy will cover child-birth related expenses, diseases existing at and before birth (congenital); after 3 years of policy renewal. In case a child is born with cerebral palsy or Down’s syndrome, the insurer will pay a lump-sum amount to the policyholder. This policy also extends to cover post-delivery complications. Couples aged between 18 to 40 years can opt for this policy. The policy is available for a one year, two year and four year term.
