Raksha Bandhan gift to sisters by Prime Minister of India

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will gift an insurance scheme called “Sukanya Samridhi Yojana” to around 51,000 women Below Poverty Line (BPL) in Varanasi.

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will gift an insurance scheme called “Sukanya Samridhi Yojana” to around 51,000 women Below Poverty Line (BPL) in Varanasi. 

Mr. Modi has initiated a campaign where he urged people to gift insurance schemes to their sisters. He will lead this campaign by visiting Varanasi and gifting insurance schemes to women. The insurance scheme offers an accidental insurance cover of Rs. 2 lac for Rs. 12 per year. The government has recently launched 3 social security schemes that offer life insurance, accident cover and pension protection.
