New India and ICSI tie up for online payment of premium

New India Assurance Company Limited entered in to an agreement with Institute of Company Secretaries of India ICSI) to provide with an online portal, wherein members, students and employees of ICSI can directly make the payments of their premium by way of debit / credit card or net banking. Under this facility person can make the payment of premium for personal lines of insurance like personal accident, health insurance, professional indemnity and motor insurance.
This agreement, which was exchanged between Mr. G. Srinivasan – Chairman and Managing Director, New India and Mr. Ananth Subramaniam – Chairman, ICSI, in presence of Mr. Sonmath Chatterjee , was signed on 19th July 2013 between Mr. Rakesh Kumar, General Manager (Distribution channels), New India Assurance and Ms. Alka Kapoor, Jt. Director, ICSI.
To use this facility, the person should login to the website www.icsi.newindia.co.in. For logging in, they have to enter the details such as membership number / registration number / employee roll number.
New India Assurance Company which was formed in 1919 has gross total premium of Rs. 12,500 crores for the year ending March 2013. Company targets the premium amount to rise by 18% i.e around Rs. 15,000 crores for the year ending March 2014. It has operations in 20 countries across the world and has 588 branches across India.
