Acko General Insurance Limited is company founded in 2016. It is among the few insurance companies in India not having another global insurance company as an alliance partner. It claims to be India’s first Digital Insurer. Acko is a new age insurance player back by some famous investors like Amazon, Accel Partners, Catamaran Ventures, Elevation Capital, RPS Ventures and Mr. Binny Bansal (of Flipkart fame). There processes are technology enabled throughout the customer journey from sales to claims processsing.   Acko has innovated with small insurance prodcts like cab trip insurance in which the customers are insured through their journer. They won the Golden Peacock Innovative Product of that year for this product.
